If you experience frequent connection drops, disconnections, or "connection reset" errors, this is often caused by unstable 5G signal in your area.
Switch your device to use 4G/LTE only instead of 5G for a more stable connection.
Why does this happen?
5G networks are still being deployed and may have:
- Limited coverage in some areas
- Weaker signal penetration through buildings
- Higher frequency bands that are more susceptible to interference
- Network congestion during peak hours
How to switch to 4G:
For Android:
- Open Settings
- Go to Network & Internet → Mobile Network
- Tap Preferred network type
- Select 4G/LTE or LTE only
For iPhone:
- Open Settings
- Go to Cellular → Cellular Data Options
- Tap Voice & Data
- Select LTE or 4G
While 4G may have slightly lower theoretical maximum speeds, it typically provides a more stable and consistent connection, which is more important for most use cases including video calls, streaming, and general browsing.
Still having issues?
If switching to 4G doesn't resolve the problem, try:
- Restarting your device
- Moving closer to a window or outdoor area for better signal
- Checking if other devices on the same network are experiencing issues
